Seaside Café in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki
Café Torpanranta was established in 1983 by the sea in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki. It became soon a very popular place where hundreds of people came to enjoy the sun and the sea in summertime. In winter, people walking, skating, or skiing on the ice, came to warm up with hot drinks.
The clientele expanded over the years. Nowadays, Café Torpanranta is a modern and relaxed meeting point for friends and families all year round. Many tourists have also found the place and keep coming back, because of the ambience and scenery of the place.
Responsible development
We have operated over 40 years in a prime beachfront location as a member of the Munkkiniemi community and developed our operations according to the principles of sustainable development.
We select our suppliers and business partners from companies who are also committed to responsibility. We use domestic, organic, and fair-trade products as well as recyclable packaging materials whenever possible.
We also aim at reducing wastage and have thus partnered with ResQ.
100% of our electricity comes from renewable sources.
